Another $100,000+ Sales Graduate for Spreydon Lodge
For the second consecutive year, Spreydon Lodge has sold a yearling for over $100,000 at the NZB Standardbred Christchurch Yearling Sale, with a colt by the first season sire Pebble Beach selling for an impressive $115,000.
The superb-looking colt (pictured), out of Epona Franco (a half-sister to the two-time Group 1 winning juvenile Franco Edward), was purchased by Kentuckiana Lodge Ltd.
This comes on the back of the previous year’s sale, which saw a Bettor’s Delight colt out of Rhapsody Franco (a half-sister to Ultimate Sniper and Ultimate Machete) fetch $170,000.
Spreydon Lodge has produced a $100,000 or more yearling in seven of the last ten Yearling Sales, with the pinnacle to date $215,000 for a Vincent colt out of Suzy’s Delight in 2021.
