The Colin Brown trained and driven Eden Franco was an impressive winner of the $50,000 Group 2 Norms Daughter Classic at Gloucester Park on Friday evening, with the 6-year-old mare outclassing her rivals by open lengths.

In front early on in the 2,130m feature, Eden Franco never looked in danger of losing at any stage of the race and simply kicked clear of the field rounding the home turn, on route to scoring a dominant win by a margin of 12.6m at the line.

Jointly owned by Spreydon Lodge Ltd and Jim Currie, Eden Franco is fashioning an impressive record in Western Australia, having now won 14 races and more than $166,000 in stakes.

Her next assignment will likely be the $125,000 Group 1 Mares Classic on December 7 - a race in which she finished fourth last year.

The Christian Cullen mare is from one of Spreydon Lodge's most successful families of recent times.

Out of the three-time winning Falcon Seelster mare Elisit Franco, Eden Franco is a full sister to the two-time Group 1 winning Harness Jewels champion Franco Emirate, as well as a half-sister to the dam of last season's dual Group 1 winning Western Australian juvenile Franco Edward.
